Pan-Fried Tofu
Ingredients
Tofu (any amount really)Vegetable oil (1-3 tablespoons; I start light and add as needed)
White pepper
Salt
Directions
1. Drain water from tofu and press out for 1 minute with paper towels2. Cut into 1/2 inch thick pieces (5 widths, turn 90 degrees, half, flip to side and split, thirds -- hard to understand unless shown)
3. Use a non-stick pan
4. Put it on the eye and turn on medium-high heat for 30 seconds
5. Add oil for 1-2 minutes
6. Add pieces that should sizzle and leave for 6 minutes. Sprinkle white pepper and a little salt on them.
7. Turn them and leave for 4 minutes. Sprinkle white pepper on them again.
8. Put them on a paper towel-lined plate to soak up excess oil
