Daddio’s Cornbread

Ingredients

02 T vegetable oil
01 egg
01.33 c buttermilk
01.5 c cornmeal
00.5 c self rising flour
02 T sugar
00.5 t baking soda

Directions

Wisk wet ingredients together good—vegetable oil, egg, and buttermilk. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients together—cornmeal, flour, sugar, and baking soda. Stir dry ingredients into the wet ingredients to make the batter. Add more milk if too thick or add more meal if too runny.

Put 02 T of vegetable oil into the bottom of cast iron skillet. Pour the batter into the skillet and bake at 450°F for 22–25 minutes or until brown on top. Done.

"Now take cornbread, crumble in glass, pour in buttermilk, and eat until your stomach bursts."
