Daddio’s Chili

Ingredients

01 lb ground turkey
02 lb beef cubes
01 t worcestershire sauce
01 t soy sauce
02 t minced garlic
large onion chopped
medium green bell pepper chopped
bottle or can of beer
00.5 cup red wine
03 packagess reg or mild chili seasoning (Mccormicks or Frenchs)
02 cans Rotel tomatoes, original
02 cans stewed tomatoes
02 cans black beans, drained
04 bay leaves
02 t chili powder

Directions

Cook the turkey, beef, worcestershire, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a large stock pot until the meat is brown; drain juice.

Add onion and bell pepper. Let this simmer for three minutes. Add beer, red wine, and chili seasoning. Stir and simmer for three minutes.

Add Rotel, stewed tomatoes, black beans, bay leaves, and chili powder.

Simmer covered for an hour or three on the lowest setting, stirring occasionally. Too much heat causes the chili to stick and burn to the bottom of the sauce pan. Serve with grated cheese sprinkled on top of each serving.

Notes

Carve beef cubes small, not the big chunky size.

Popular adders: sour cream, chopped jalapenos, oyster crackers, and southern style buttermilk cornbread
